We are Chartered Physiotherapist who hold a Masters degree and/or extended post-graduate education. We regularly attend continuing education conferences as recommended by our governing body The Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists, so that we are aware of the latest research and developments within the field of physiotherapy.
The benefits of sports physiotherapy & dry needling are to optimise the patients return to full physical well-being after an injury, operation or illness.
Physiotherapists work on the muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons, facsia etc of the body known as the musculoskeletal system.
This involves the use of techniques primarily involving a “hands-on” approach. Techniques which have been scientifically been proven to be effective such as Mailtand, Cyriax, Mulligan techniques to name but a few. Often we would combine a number of these techniques to achieve the desired outcome. We would find that some patients respond better to one technique over another, as the beauty of this profession is that everyone is different. What works for one may not for another.
“Physiotherapists are a bit like car mechanics except they work on bodies!”
Our patients can receive reimbursement for their physiotherapy sessions through their health care provider, depending on their plan and through their tax returns at the end of the year.
